For years, Bluebonnet has lived by a simple, powerful philosophy: “You show them the way. We help them get there.” Their nurturing teachers and small class sizes have helped generations of children learn through hands-on exploration — because at Bluebonnet, kids aren’t just students, they’re builders, explorers, scientists, artists, and dreamers.
Bluebonnet was built in 1995 by founders Nancy and Charles Chick, whose vision for high-quality, full-time child care with small group sizes and loving teachers turned into one of the most respected preschools in the Austin area. That vision helped Bluebonnet earn NAEYC accreditation — one of the highest marks of quality in early childhood education — and a Texas Rising Star Four-Star rating, the state’s highest quality mark. Thank you, Nancy and Charles, for the decades of heart and dedication you’ve poured into Bluebonnet — your legacy will carry on in every classroom.
